Process to get the new clean look, without losing the practicality.

Get your spanners ready we are going to get into it, so you have to start by removing all bolts, under the rear light on the mudguard inside as shown in pic. Once you are done with it then the light holder will come loose, and you would have to unplug all the electrical clamps for rear light. Once you have done that then you would need to pull the wires through a rubber seal and pass through the loosened mudflap, i dont know why they have put a hole and passed wire through mudflap though, makes the process more difficult. Now get the mudflap and get a cutter ready.

How to get the final mudflap look

Now you have to cut the flap as per your preference, I decided to cut around 60% of the section off, and removed the reflector as well from cut off section and did a couple of holes and fixed onto the new smaller mudflap. This helps make things more safer in the dark as well. And i also ended up cutting the rear light hole on mudflap so the installation is easier, and it will be easier to undo things in future as well. Now once you have cut the flap, then just re bolt it onto mudguard, and make sure to fix all the nuts and bolts, you dont want them to fall off in middle of a ride. And that's it now you have got a functional tail tidy look for your interceptor/continental 650. Share it with your friends and community as well. Cheers.
